Alphabetical list of Christian religious ministers recorded in the diocese of Durham before the reformation ( that is up to about 1540). The diocese includes most of the counties of Durham and Northumberland (but excludes the peculiar of Hexhamshire). The alphabetical list is followed by lists of bishops, archdeacons and then clergy listed by parish. At the end of the volume is the report of the Surtees Society for 1925, including membership list.
